Hoxton Gallery
Lariot Collective’s first group exhibition displayed the work of a wide variety of artists in the heart of East London.
︎In 2019, Carla and Luca, a Spanish-Italian couple, were about to start a new professional venture and realise a shared dream. They had decided to open a nomadic art gallery in London and needed some portraits for the launch. A mutual friend recommended my work, and when we met, they told me all about their exciting new project.
A few weeks after the photoshoot, they asked if I would like to join their roster of artists and be the first photographer represented by Lariot Collective. I was flattered and grateful and happily agreed to join their journey.
They began to stage small exhibitions in interesting spaces around London, and a few years later, they secured The Hoxton Gallery for the first group exhibition of the collective. I was invited to show one of my projects alongside a selection of their represented artists. Surrounded by the work of very talented artists such as Mario Antón, Macarena Rojas or Richard Burton, amongst others, I displayed my work Pure, a collection of silver gelatin prints that invite the viewer to slow down and reflect on the pace of our lives in western culture.
