Mediterraneam Museum

“Sitting quietly, doing nothing, spring comes, and the grass grows, by itself” - Matsuo Basho

︎ As part of the international analogue photography festival RevelaT, I had the privilege to display my work “Pure” in the Mediterranean Museum, located in the beautiful village of Torroella de Montgrí, in the region of Gerona, Spain.

"Pure" is a photography project that invites the viewer to reflect on the way we live in developed societies, through portraits of individuals who live differently, at a much slower pace. Using a medium format camera and working with film forced me to approach people differently, slowly and more consciously, which in turn allowed me to connect more deeply with them.

Developing and printing the pictures in the darkroom added a meaningful new layer to the work, making the whole process a celebration of slow living.
